Bebop2, is it true reliability?

It is not so long to fly Bebop2 but I had disconnectivity trouble with Bebop2 while she is on the air.

I found the movie that Bebop2 ends fatal.
My experience of disconnect is same as this movie.

Does someone have same experience ?

Bebop2 I select 3 options safety for Bebop2

Hi there,
Do you have joyful drone life ?

For me, it is only 6 days I fly my Bebop2.

The latest flight is subscribed in previous this blog.

I have 3 selections for safety of Bebop2.
These are the followings.

1. Landing Pad
2. Alert Timer
3. Carrying Basket

I previously subscribed that 'Extended Landing Gear' is necessary. So this time, I do not discuss it.

1. Landing Pad

• I had trouble that Tello landed on sand beach then needs replacing motors. Motors gatherd irons in sand and some got into motors and sticking axis. Its damage require to replace the motors. So we need to separate debris from our drone on the ground. 
• Command Bebop2 to land, then Bebop2 drops at high speed. It seems not so small impact to Bebop2 at touch down. In order to reduce this impact, landing pad is useful, I think.
• Above these, I select 4 assebling floor mats, 30 x 30 cm each. You can see it in my previous movie.

2. Alert Timer 

• In order to prevent fuel out emergency landing, so to say crash, I select to use an alert timer for cooking.
• Before take off, check the battery remain and decide flight minutes this time. Of course it includes final approach and landing duration. Then set the alert timer.
• If you can be helped by someone, you may ask him reading and calling remain flight minutes.
• Battery status in cellular phone, 'Free Flight Pro' is degit indication, so hard to appreciate battery consumption rate.
• As you know, it takes not so short to touch drone down to landing pad from enroute. Because Landing Pad is not so wide.
• 'Return Home' function is useful to return Bebop2 to take off position in minimum duration.

3.Carrying Basket 

• For immediate to start flight, you had better bring Bebop2 with rotars and extended landing gear. As you know, this configurations is not  so small.
• So I select ecological shopping basket, popular in Japan.
• Basket is light weight  and not deform, so easy to bring Bebop2 with rotars and gears.
• Bebop2 is bundled with rubber strap to fix to bottom face.
• Battery should be removed while carrying in basket, in order to reduce force on arms.

Please consider how to handle and operate Bebop2.

Bebop2 flies where? #1 & #2

Hi there,
It is 6th day  I fly Bebop2 today.
I want my Bebop2 do her best today too continuously since last flight.
What does it mean?
It means that only drone can take movies instead from where we can not reach.

Her results today are shown in the follwing.

How do you think it ?
I suppose you are satisfied with them.

Bebop2, flies where ? #0 , famous lake in Japan

Hi there,
I am DroneNovice3(3:san,さん in japanese).

It is 5th day from I began to fly my Bebop2.

On 4th day, she crashed but it is not so long for her to return to flight, owing to a help by UK-mobile at Akihabara and to RAIFU accesory, extended landing gear.

On 5th day, today, I introduce how Bebop2 works as I want.
For this purpose, I drived far away to search a good view point.

You will be satisfied with seanery which Bobop2 captured at where we can not reach.

It became fine, rain and wind stops, but Mt.Fuji is covered with clouds unfortunately continuously.

How do you think this location?

Here is famous place and many tourists including overseas visit.

Now 5th day, I set limitations reasonable on distant and altitude.

So she is alwayas near to us.

Bobop2

Bebop2,3rd day flight training

In Japan, it is too difficult to find where we can fly our drone heavier than 200 grams because ristriction by aeronautics law and houses are crowded even in urban area.

I could find the area where I can fly Bebop2 today.

It is 3rd day I fly my Bebop2.

I have 2 objects to learn today.

1. Cellular Phone compatibility 

I have an iphone, a HTC, and 2 Huawei Mediapads.

I tried to use all cellular phones for Free Flight Pro.

But Free Flight Pro does not run on any Huawei Mediapads.

They are aborted instantly.

2. Free Flight Pro Function / Follow Me.

As you can see in my movie how Bebop2 follows me.

So I can learn these 2 items today.

Bebop2, extended landing gear recommended.

1. My Recommendation is the following item for Bebop2.

RaiFu Parrot Bebop2, drone quadcopter accessory kit 

/Extended Landing Gear

2. Why?

I did not think this item can protect Bebop2 so hard that Bebop2 falled to ground without breakage of main body.

Details are shown in previous subscribed.

Bebop2 falled down suddenly about 10m hight.
This extended landing gear is broken into many pieces
But owing it,
This breakage can protect main body from breakage.

I used this item as float but this issue lets me know what function this extended landing gear has.

This float like volume seems to reduce falling speed is advantageous to Bebop2.

Now I can not fly Bebop2 without this device, Extended Landing Gear. If no, fearful.

Bebop2 falls to ground. Fortunately.

Summary 

This morning is my 4th training day.

I train myself in control Bebop2, a drone made by Parrot.
Today object is to use controller not cellular phone.
Unfortunately
I have mistake to drop her from 5m hight due to low battery.
I have fortunately not have main body breakage, only have damage of float fixing structure and loose an antenna plate.

Float fixing structure breaks into many pieces, that reduces impact to her main body.

What I should learn from this issue.

• What I should check before take off. Especially electricity remained.
• Battery consumption is not propotional to flight time.
• I can confirm that the time of crash is 5min after start in the movie. Norminal specification of flight time is 20min.  
• I must know batteries ability how long it can fly.
• Too early to fall down. 
• Before 2nd take off, I did confirn how much power is remained but did not replace it. Tjis is primitive mistake.
• Bebop2 does not have safety function to reduce altitude in case of low battery.   She looses power suddenly even if at high altitude.
• Float devices is so weak that prevents Bebop2 main body from breakage.
• You should decide what your flight is this time.
• If I acustom to flight control,  I must have plan how I fly, course, altitude, and then time.
• After crash, I  must confirm how the damage is.  Especially retreive all separated parts as possible.

What happened to my Bebop2 is the followings.
